Our Story

The story of Chão do Ribeirinho Country House begins in Atalaia do Campo, in the municipality of Fundão, where my grandparents' house — later my parents' and, for many years, my own — left its mark on generations.

It was a granite house, simple and sturdy, built to shelter those who lived in it from the harsh cold of winter and the intense heat of summer. A humble space, yet brimming with life, affection and memories.

It was there that I grew up, surrounded by people who taught me the value of family, friendship and community. Every stone held a story; every room reflected moments that shaped who I am.

With time and the loss of its pillars, the house gradually gave way until it crumbled, leaving only the foundations as a silent witness to everything that had taken place within.

Life took me down other paths, but it never extinguished the desire to return. For years, I told myself that one day I would come back. And that day arrived.

Today, the house is reborn with a new purpose: to welcome those seeking tranquillity, authenticity and a connection to their roots. Chão do Ribeirinho Country House is a tribute to my family's memory, to the strength of our land and to the serenity I have always found in this place.
